Following the reboot of the Harry Potter franchise, other novels are set to be adapted into series. One of them is Twilight, Stephenie Meyer’s books about the love story between Bella and Edward, the mysterious vampire.

Good news for fans of vampires and werewolves! Twilight, the saga by Stephenie Meyer, is going to be adapted into a series. Published every year from 2005 to 2008, these four novels were a real success in bookstores. The story revolves around Bella Swan, a high school student who falls deeply in love with Edward Cullen, a vampire.
After its release in books, the saga became a huge success when it was adapted into films, generating over 3 billion dollars at the box office. The five movies brought to light actors Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.
Twilight to be adapted into a series
Years later, Stephenie Meyer’s novels are set to undergo a new adaptation into a television series, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project is currently in development at Lionsgate TV and Stephenie Meyer is said to be directly involved in this adaptation. Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feig, who produced the five films in the saga, are reportedly returning as producers. Screenwriter Sinead Daly (The Walking Dead, Tell Me Lies) is set to be in charge of writing the series.

At the moment, it is unclear whether the series will be a faithful adaptation of the novels or a spin-off exploring the vampire universe. More details about the project are yet to be revealed.
